Investigo sobre procesos sociales y culturales, con especial foco en cambios y momentos de crisis con énfasis en la sociología del tiempo y la teoría de la aceleración y, especialmente, lo que puede denominarse como una teoría de los regímenes temporales. En paralelo, estudio teorías sociológicas, con especial atención a la sociología histórica y teoría crítica. En docencia dicto dos cursos de teoría sociológica y un optativo de profundización sobre ‘sociología del tiempo’ para pregrado. A nivel de posgrado doy en conjunto el seminario de teoría sociológica para magíster y doctorado, así como un curso de especialización sobre aproximaciones al espacio y el tiempo desde la teoría social y los estudios culturales. Desde 2023 soy editor de KronoScope. Journal for the Study of Time y anteriormente he sido Visiting Fellow en el Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies de Colonia y Christoph-Martin-Wieland Stipendiat para estudios doctorales en el Max-Weber-Kolleg de la Universität Erfurt (Alemania).

My research focuses on social and cultural processes, with a special emphasis on moments of change and crisis. I am interested in the sociology of time and the theory of acceleration, especially in what might be called a ‘temporal regimes’ approach . In parallel, I study sociological theories, with a special focus on historical sociology and critical theory. I teach two lectures in sociological theory and one elective on the sociology of time, all at the undergraduate level. At the graduate level, I co-teach the Sociological Theory seminar for M.A. and Ph.D. students, as well as a specialization course on ´space´ and ´time´ from social theory and cultural studies. Since 2023, I am the editor of KronoScope. Journal for the Study of Time, and previously I was a Visiting Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies in Cologne (2021) and a Christoph-Martin-Wieland doctoral fellow at the Max-Weber-Kolleg of the University of Erfurt (2017-2020).
